I am me

and I have been told

to change me

What for?

To please others?

I am me

The girl who always believes

And life has tried to drop me down

However I wasn't going to give up

to let it get the best out of me

I take it as another given lesson

leading me to whatever is meant to be

Which taught me how to love me

Made people have envy me

But I know my worth

Won't settle for what I don't deserve

I am that girl who cares for people

No matter how heartless people can be

I am that girl who loves to love

Ive been told to be tough

even when I seen my mom leave

So what I shouldn't feel?

That's not me

I won't hide me

To be someone

I'm not meant to be

I have been blessed

Even at my worst and my best

I continue to cherish life

Because I am that girl

who is willing to give more
