Give, Take

As Venus goes into retrograde,

My heart recedes back to heal itself.

I wanted to feel something real,

But now that I feel it, It hurts like hell,

So please, take it back.

Take with it the memories, the emotions, the pleasure

And give me back my time.

Let summer never have come,

Let me never have met you,

Let me have gone home that fateful night by train.

Let me have never had you take me around town,

As this fateful place is now tainted in the memories of you.

Give me back my joy, my exuberance,

Give me back the mundane.

Give me back me.
