Given To Provide
To pray or not to pray,
some see no reason.
But perhaps if perspective is allowed,
one's understanding may deepen.
If you pray for more patience,
does God, this, bestow?
Or perhaps, instead provide opportunities,
for your patience to grow.
If you pray to be wealthy,
does God rain riches from above?
Or perhaps, instead provide opportunities,
to earn that which you speak of?
If you pray for forgiveness,
does God grant this to you?
Or perhaps, instead provide opportunities,
for you to right the wrongs done unto?
If you pray for answers,
does God hand them to you complete?
Or perhaps, instead provide opportunities,
For you to learn that what you seek.
If you pray for direction,
Does God point the way?
Or perhaps, instead provide opportunities,
For you to not go astray.
No prayers go unanswered,
none prayed true.
Reaping the glory sought,
is ultimately up to you.
Rewarded are those that walk,
with God by their side.
Have faith all God gives,
is given to provide.
