Giving Thanks.

Today we give thanks to Christopher Columbus and American greed, while others give up their lives for the land of the free. Today we give thanks for the tables where we sit, while a million people in the world have no place to live. Today we give thanks for all that we have received. We have seven entrees on our tables, while others have nothing to eat. Today we give thanks for family, friends, and health, but we think very little about anyone but ourselves. Today we give thanks, and we pretend to be grateful, but tomorrow we’ll be just as selfish as usual. Today we give thanks for all that we have, Then at midnight we will trample others for big screens and ipads.
