Giving Words to the Wordless

It steals my breath,

Lightens my heart.

It makes me feel understood,

If only in part.

I can speak my mind

With no judgment from others,

Til they skim the page,

And soft words they mutter.

It speaks to them,

And finally, I feel

My emotions, though raw,

Are meaningful and real.
