A Glance Away

Look at the sun

What do you see?

A white yellow

A blue center

Can’t stay still

Jumbles around

As my eyes try

To counteract the light

No sting, No burns

I can’t describe it

Is this what light

Feels like? No pain

Yet I can’t handle

It. My sight unable,

Unwilling to recognize

The star in the sky

The physical embodiment

Of hope
