A Glance at Broadway

Lights! Sound! Places! The wonderful words of wisdom said before the start of the show. Technicians checking cues and actors getting clothed. The stage makeup, even though it's theatrical, Causes many breakouts, But turns out to be magical. The music fills the auditorium and the spotlight comes up. The leading lady steps on stage And her monologue is sung. Of course there is conflict Like life itself, there is People living truthfully In a world of their own For about two hours or so. Many love triangles and the ironic twist that causes tears to fill the eyes Or laughter to explode. The feeling I get when the story comes alive and is truly inspiring To tell a tale, to accept a life, it really sparks a fire, In a heart, that is. A passion for the truest of all art forms. It is us who make this piece of paper with black ink a reality. It is us who tell live action stories It is I who is a strong believer Of the most creative art and teaching of theatre.

Theatre has taken my heart and so has Dr. Pepper, but mostly theatre. I'm a cute brunette, I guess. And now a word from Mr. Disney himself, "Why worry? If you've done the very best you can, worrying won't make it any better."
