Glare

It's not the sun that blinds, but the glare. Except you can't help but stop and stare At the things that shine bright for you to see, But reside just right outside the realm of possibility. You hope and pray, and run, and fight For the thing you think will make your life turn out right. When you arrive it's hollow, empty, and dead. And you start to wonder about the new bright thing ahead.
