GLASS

It was an early hour,

      At tall, gleaming towers.

           It was a clear sky,

               With men running inside.

                       It was a smooth ride,

                            Up where the birds fly.

                                    It was a normal day,

Not a single thing in disarray.

                                                It happened fast,

                                                       Shattering glass.

                                                             It was sudden,

Smashing the walls by a dozen.

                                                                      It was a desperate clash,

                                                                          And so it crashed,

Nearly forgotten ina field of grass.
