Glass

Is there any way
That I can convey
The pain and the hurt
That I feel each day?

A slap in the face
A stab in the back
A kiss and a hug
Takes it all back.

Just yell and scream
And tell me I'm wrong
Tell me its been this way
All along.

I can't say this
But you can say that
Tell me that I
Stabbed you in the back.

Watch my soul
Break like glass
Shattering on the floor
Killing me once more.

But now I agree
Nodding my head
I try to smile
But tears flow instead.

Inside my mind
I've truly gone mad
And now I promise
I will no longer be sad.
