Glass Armor

I wear an armor

Crafted of glass.

Reflecting upon my surroundings

With my analytical mind

And deflecting all those

Who would try to study me.

I wear my armor to look strong

But I am weak.

Cowering and hiding inside

Scared of the world and of time

Flashing a facade of ferociousness.

Standing in the glow of a million lights

So all are too blinded by my shine

To notice.

I’m breakable.

And beneath my stunning glass armor

A girl scared of the world lurks.
