Glass Box

I hide inside a box of glass.

I can see all

But none can see me.

I hide behind attitude

Not because I’m afraid to get hurt

But because I know I can hurt others.

I hide from reality,

Because it’s a lot easier,

And far more exiting.

I hide because

That’s the only place I can be in control.

I hide because

It’s easier to live life as a spectator.

Maybe someday I’ll come out,

Maybe someday my glass box will break,

But for now I can stay in my box,

And see the world pass by.
