Glass Wall

First;

It hits my ears.

Then;

Suddenly my heart stops.

Next;

My brain comprehends what happened.

Now;

The pain in my heart just won't go away...

Do people ever think about the power of words?

The words that tear me apart.

Do people ever think about the torture of words?

The torture they make me endure.

Do people ever think about the tears?

The tears that I shed every night.

Me.

They don't know what I've endured.

The struggles I've gone through.

How I've reached rock bottom.

They don't know that I have a cloud.

A dark cloud following me everyday.

It carries a knife.

They don't know that it makes my skin crawl,

My knees fall,

My heart stop.

They don't care that I've had my fill;

That I've had enough.

They don't know that if they keep pushing and pushing...

I'll break.

My wall isn't brick.

It's glass.

It shatters.

I have to pick up those pieces,

I have those bloody hands.

You don't know what I've been through.

Stop pushing.

Stop forcing.

Stop trying to fit me into your mold.

Stop the cruel words you speak when you disagree with me.

I am dying!

My skin is crawling!

My nails are making scars on my skin as I scratch and scratch!

Trying to may this pain disappear.

I am screaming on the inside!

My heart is crying out!

I have a glass wall.

It's only a glass wall.

Don't break it.
