Glimmer of Color

The pounding rain stings her face, blending with the tears. She watches him go, leaving forever. Her heart is broken--injured--irreparable He's not coming back, ever again. She watches him go, leaving forever, Driving away on the down-trodden road. He's not coming back, ever again. What to do now? Now that she's alone. Driving away on the down-trodden road, The storm clouds curling overhead. What to do now? Now that she's alone, The thunder shaking, the moisture soaking. The storm clouds unfurl overhead, Leaving her cold and empty. The thunder shaking, the moisture soaking, Shivering in the night, she is frozen and void. He left her cold and empty, But she is standing, she is strong, Shivering in the night, frozen but solid. The clouds sweep aside, the sun peeks through. But she is standing, she is strong, As the sun warms her tears. The clouds swept aside, the sun peeking through, A glimmer of color appears in the distance. As the sun warms her tears, Her heart is repairing. A glimmer of color shines in the distance. The bow of hope brightens her spirits. Her heart is repairing, The rain stings her face, washing away the tears. The bow of hope brightens her spirits. Her heart's not broken--not injured--not irreparable
