A glimpse into the Future ...

Working at the local grocery store

Bagging groceries like it’s my life

As I bag, I dream of the future

What could life be like if it were perfect?

I would wake up in my lavish house

I would drive my exorbitant car

I would arrive at the job of my dreams

I would greet my patients

I would put on my white coat

I will place my stethoscope around my neck

I will pick up my clipboard and make my rounds

What is my job you may ask?

Obstetrician Gynecologist

Will I wake up every day with a smile on my face?

I will

I know that this is where I belong

This is my calling

Then I snap back to present day

I am at the local grocery store

I am bagging groceries

I am not going to be here forever

This is just another stepping stone towards reality

I am on my way to the rest of my life
