A Glint in Her Eyes
There was a glint in her eyes,
One that told you,
she had felt the great consequence, of great pleasure
she had felt the hot blow of a violent lovers hand, and she still walked with this violence inside her
She had too much sex, with men that had filled the cracks in her heart with dirt
She had poured fire down her throat, and was still numb
One that told you,
She was filled with the chronic loneliness that inherently came with her glint
Not for a moment did it fade, Even when her eyes shut, she felt the hot glow from inside the walls of her skull
there were times when the loneliness of her condition was so all consuming, that when she tried to speak, her mouth would just fumble open and closed, unable to form the words repeating in her head
One that told you,
As a hungry baby desperate for milk, the taste of lemon juice poured from her mother’s breast
She had been forced by the one who should have loved her most, to feed lies to the angels on her doorstep
She had become so accustomed to the words of hate pouring out of mouths of those nearest to her, that they now sounded like music
One that told you
Her soul danced above, and below every friend, foe, or lover she had ever met
She was unable to touch, or be touched, unless under false pretence
She compelled everyone she has ever met strongly, and rapidly, but only for a moment
She prays for different eyes
Glintless eyes
But then, she could not see
