One day, I was feeling rather gloom
Sitting here, in this dark room
Wondering if anyone would come to see me
when all of a sudden, I took an arrow to the knee
now on the ground, cowering in fear
I wondered if now someone was near
Hearing nothing, I knew no one was coming
The agony was so numbing
I saw a light off in the distance
So alas, there must be some existence!
Finally I saw a figure standing
And now, my help was demanding
He walked up and said, sorry I can't help you
And I responded, why can't you?
He said, son, its because you are black
My thought was, man, this guy is smoking crack
Helplessly as I laid there, as the man walked away
I thought man, I'm just left at bay
The moral is, racism is demeaning
Because of this, i'm left here weeping
