GLORIA

I cannot tell you how many times I have fallen in love with you.
With the way you raise me up to shine for you,
Or the way you humble me to settle into the background.
The way you always feel like home and welcome me with open arms,
And the way your ever changing yet staying the same.
People may ask me how could I love you?
But they don't know how you take me away from the reality of my normal struggle,
They don't know how you've changed me for the better.
The Stage has changed me from that 8th grader struggling with depression and acceptance,
The Stage changed me in to this successful and independent woman,
A woman who strives for her dreams no matter what the reviews are.
You, my Stage, have turned me into an actress..
And I cannot tell you how many times I have fallen in love with you.

AUTHORS NOTE: My favorite stage was named GLORIA by my theatre family. So when we would go to sit on the edge of the Apron we would say, "Let's sit on the edge of Glory."
