Glorious Purpose

The world isn't a perfect place.

I blame Pandora's Box for that.

For the hate and rage,

for the jealousy and pain,

for the steadfast cage,

for the shackle and chains

that are the darkness of man.

I blame the need for balance,

between can't and can,

between black and white,

between good and bad,

between the weak and mighty,

between happy and sad.

For that,

the world will always be lost

and people will always struggle

with their fingers crossed,

against life's troubles.

Even with the powers of a God

that is something I cannot change.

The world is simply flawed.

But if there was something I would rearrange,

it would be the human heart.

I would place in it a want,

a desire,

an endless fire,

that would haunt us.

I would place in the human heart,

a will to fight.

Not for property or justice.

Not for riches and all that must encompass.

A will to fight,

with every drop of our own blood

towards a light,

a light called reason.

Not logic and clarity of thought,

but a goal to strive towards.

A purpose man sought.

I would make us creatures of passion,

free from the constraints of society.

I would make the world a variety

of glorious purpose.

With no chance for our passive past,

to come back to the surface.

People think that there's nothing they can do,

that the die have been cast,

but that's just not true.

We each have a chance

to be something great.

But we live life in a trance,

not caring what's at stake.

And that is a mistake

I would never let man make

Again.
