Glory to Him
Let’s go ahead and take some time
To read this little rhyme.
One about someone who will never let you down.
He wears a crown.
Not of gold but of thorns,
For me and you he mourns.
His love is never ending.
There is no need in pretending,
That you and I don’t need a Savior
We do because of our misbehavior.
His grace is scandalous
It almost seems too fabulous.
Perfect in every way,
Yet he continues to stay
With these imperfect human beings
Who will sometimes get to fleeing.
He died for you, me,
And even His enemies can’t you see?
You are loved whether you know it or not
Just give it a shot.
Christianity is more than just a companionship
It is a relationship.
I believe for some the concept is hard to grasp
Almost like Pharoh’s symbol, the asp.
He is my God, my father, and my friend.
There is nothing he cannot mend.
His presence is comforting,
And His love is more than something.
He loves when no else does
Not of pride, really just because.
He is the same today, yesterday, and forever
He is calling you NOW more than ever.
He is there when no one else is,
God is more than just some whizz.
The Alpha and Omega,
He believes you shine brighter than Vega.
Actions and words do not earn this eternal life,
Your hearts intent will keep you from strife.
Stay focused on Him
Because in the end it comes down to you and your sin.
Not what others have done
But you and God’s son.
Jesus died for you
That is the ultimate sacrifice that anyone could ever do.
He hung upon that tree
To rid you of your plea.
He died for me, so I live for Him
That’s the least I can do in this prelim.
This prelim called life
There is much much more than a man finding his wife.
Glory should be His
We can’t get into heaven from just passing some quiz.
There is more to this world
And if you can’t see it then maybe your life will get twirled.
Not wanting harm or bad luck in your future,
But to show you who is the real suture.
Jesus is like a train
Connecting you from earth to heaven through his pain.
The cross He bared was yours and mine.
Not for the pride to shine
But for our mistakes.
He never sinned, yet He took all the aches.
From the beating to the nails
It was in our defense for the reason he didn’t bail.
We needed a Savior to show us that He was God
And that all the others were frauds.
He came back to life after three days,
That is why we continue to give Him our praise.
