The Glo'Up

When I was little I dreamt,small

I dreamt of being a princess and attending balls

Life looked so easy in the eyes of a four year old who believed in kissing a frog

Changing into a prince which would turn me into a beautiful princess overall

Times flies fast and I’m now sixteen, Twelve years later

Look at what kind of princess I turned out to be

I realized life isn’t that easy as I remembered through my four year old eyes

I realized I must change my mindset to survive

Changing my mindset made me find my call

Was Track and Field my calling

My calling to survive it all

It had to be, I thought

I mean, I could continue to contemplate about life choices I can easily create,

But instead I decided to lead down the sports pathway

Track and Field wasn’t just my calling, it was my destiny to fulfill

With the swiftness of me moving my arms and the quickness of me picking up my feet

Running track granted me with a clear conscience of me thinking but not out loud

I was able to visualize the bigger picture of my future, which is now in my hands and

Suddenly I have a plan

This is how I glo-up

This is how I shine

This is how this sixteen year old changed her mind

No more princess fairy tales, only D1 scholarships and travelling the world with a Nike sponsorship

That's my goal, that’s my plan

Twelve years later, I’m sixteen with a goal which I plan to achieve

If you grant me this scholarship money to succeed
