Glow
The difference between being happy that he looks at you
to being shamed
From freedom to curbed
Not with your interests in mind
Jelousy, fire, dignity long gone
Degradation and vitriol
fly next to
"I love you"
But, he's not wrong...
But he is.
Shatter the bonds
of love long gone
Move on
to someone
worth your while
No "Because I love you"
makes him know
how your spirit burns
not with abrasive tongues
of flame, but with a gentle, yet strong
glow of true love.
