Glow Up and Grow Up

Gentle green grass, oh how I missed that feeling

Long flights on an airplane, I never found appealing

On my way to college I ventured a new path

Without my mom and dad, how will I do in math?

Unsupervised and free, my homework was never done.

Partying and going out sounded so much more fun.

All classes were over, I failed my first class

Never again, from now on I must pass.

Decisions were made, I would change my ways fast.

Getting my work done and studying every night

Reading and writing, I got my grades right

Over with being a young fun seeker

Withdrawing from my past, I have goals of being a teacher

Upon my experience I learned a whole lot,

Pride yourself in what’s most important, was my most valuable lesson taught
