the glow up, the grow up

how can one year

change one so much.

we continue to grow,

through all we clutch.

Failure teaches a lesson,

they all say.

yet it can change so much

in simply one day.

the death of a friend

brought tears, and pain.

and forced me to learn

acceptance once again.

pain brings growth.

pain brings change.

pain brings life lessons.

 the death of a friend

can change so much.

pain, healing, then growth.

through the memories I clutch
