Glow Up! Grow Up!

Like a saguaro cactus it takes me months to grow

In a way no one will ever discover

In a way no one but me will know

In a way I will know forever

Going home with my mom as a young kid was something special

My mom, my sister and I walking hand in hand all across minnesota avenue

Those times I never thought about any danger the world held

Or any pain I will soon withhold

Like a saguaro cactus it takes me months to grow

In a way no one will ever discover

In a way no one but me will know

In a way I will know forever

At the age of 13 I had to go home on my own

1 phone spread among me and my kin

As embarrassing as it was I felt an abundance of power within my bones

As the tremendous amount of pressure beginning to build in.
