glow up scholarship

I am changing

I realize when I fill out resumes

When I leave the house but my mom stays

when I make appointments, I pay

Figureing out what I’m going to eat today

Are used to be a Little Miss pageant girl

who woke up on Saturdays to play soccer

started my school days at my locker

my Sunday’s best was always prepared

but I wasn’t different yet nobody stared

But I learned a lot, character build me

I thank God every day that my dad is still with me

but like I said I’ve learned a lot, not all losses are bad

sometimes you need to be taught

you need to cut people off

who aren’t good for you

you are meant to grow, change is not new to you

I am learning to love myself as a young adult my glow up is just rising

my perspective has changed, since ninth grade

I feel like I’ve won this competition because I know mistakes will be made, that is a given
