Go a little numb

I'm just an observer...

Nothing more,

Perhaps something less.

All that ive ever done,

Is float helplessly in a world with people just as lost as me.

So from time to time,

I'll hang on to a cloud and listen to the constant stream of disturbing white noise in the back of my mind.

I'll watch lost bodies collide for short moments,

I'll learn how every time they do it changes their course.

I'll notice when they head off in their unique directions,

Some have more bruises and cuts than others.

I'll understand how there's some that are too damaged,

Too shattered so they withered away like dust swept up by a short wind that found its way through your broken window on a rainy November day.

What can i say,

Theres nothing but emptiness when you look in these brown eyes.

And I go a little numb sometimes.
