God is awesome!

When you're sitting in the dark on the floor,

Starring at the door,

Wondering if there could be something more,

To love is when no one else could,

But is it possible that God would?

Even someone so broken sitting on this cold wood?

But crazy enough the next morning,

You wake up with this sense of learning,

So you jump out of bed and start running.

You don't know where you're going,

But the fire keeps burning.

And you just keep, keep, running.

When your legs are fatigued,

And you end up on your knees

Then you ask God, please, please, please!

Please take away this pain

I don't want to keep playing these games,

I want to hold on to something real, not lame.

Then you stand up, refreshed.

Feeling like someone just cleaned up the mess,

But it's for the best.

You feel your eyes have been opened

You look up to the sky and take in,

The beauty and perfection!

Every morning is something beautiful,

Something unique and colorful

And somehow it fills the hole in your soul.

Then it hits you that this God is real

That you've been searching so long, to feel,

Alive and full but all this time you've heard up a shield.

Now it's time to come alive.

To lighten up inside

And see whose revived!

Now even through the midst of your pain,

And suffering.

You search for a God that reigns.

You see him in the sky

And the trees that pass you by,

This isn't something that's a lie!

You feel a sense of wholeness everyday,

And a fire of passion even when it rains.

It's something you can't even explain!

Even when you're at your lowest of lows.

You realize who's in control

And you let go!

You give all your pain to him,

So you can be free and smile again

And the happiness begins.

God is everything that's awesome!

Even when your fight ends,

He will renew you again...

You just have to let him in.
