God, can you hear me?

I'm waiting, I'm praying. I'm down on my knees, I'm begging, but you're not hearing me. I open my mouth to scream but I can't breathe. Why can't you hear me? Why do my cries fall on deaf ears? Just answer me once and ease my fears. The longing the hurt the hatred inside, just keeps getting worse with every tear that I cry. Can you hear me? Because from where I stand, there is a sign up ahead denying me entry into the promised land. Can you hear me, God, why can't you hear me?
