God, I Can't Live Without

The one thing I can’t live without?

What a thoughtful quest

Looking inside my beating heart

And into my chest

The answer, of course, is my God!

Nothing will ever compare

To be at peace for all my life

Beyond death I’ll see Him there

Curse the day if we fall apart!

For then I will sightless tread

Through the world’s own cruel twisted maze

With no guide I’ll soon be dead
