Everyone around me may no longer be the same

God storms that came and my life it changed
This world that feels like one abandoned place
People you had embraced with open arms as love not to be replaced
Nothing but weak bonds that broke with slightest change
Wounds that won’t heal and scars that still remain
God everything may change
God this world may change
Everyone around me may no longer be the same
But one thing will always stay the same
God in my heart is your only place
God whenever life leaves me lost, confused or in shame
Trying to make sense of this world that feels like a meaningless place
Of shattered dreams, broken lives and endless pain
Eyes that weep and heart that cries out in vain
Only guarantees you have is the guarantee that things change
God everything may change
God this world may change
Everyone around me may no longer be the same
But one thing will always stay the same
God in my heart is your only place
God when everything feels lost and every path a dead end lane
I close my eyes and say a silent prayer and say your name
Then you speak to me and I once again picture your face
In the loneliness of my heart your voice sounds like amazing grace
Once again with joy in my heart II sing your praise
