Goddess in the Halls

Athena roams the halls of Olympia High

Admiring the art on the walls,

The proud women in the classrooms,

The curriculum that challenges even her

She hears whispers of divinity

The Fates call her Valedictorian

Aphrodite calls her smartass

She wears her bronze and blue Ravenclaw sweater with pride,

Saying “Professor McGonagall was named after me”

She’s the star of the volleyball team,

Holds the record for the javelin in track & field,

And is the top of her class, but

No boys swoon at her approach

They walk right past, toward her sister

Toward

The Pretty One

The Girly One

The Popular One

The... better one

No

Not better, just...

Pretty

But Athena is Proud

Wise

A Warrior

Athena is all she needs to be

And more
