Goddess of Love and Beauty

We see her face in the people we love

In the eyes of our mother and father

How they spread their arms wide for a hug.

For someone else she could be

walking down the streets of New York.

But it might not be a woman or a man

It might be a dress in a window shop

Or diamond earrings at the jeweler's.

She could be the touch of hands

Between a husband and a wife.

It could be a newborn being welcomed into life.

She is in everything and anything we hold dear.

You can’t always put a name to it,

But in our hearts she is here.
