The Goddess Within

When the teacher asks you to leave because you are showing too much skin

Remember, you're a Goddess

When you are barely making ends meet because he got the promotion, and not you

Remember, you're a Goddess

When you married at 6 years old to a 30 year old man,

Remember, you're a Goddess.

When you were torn from your clothes and dehumanized by someone who only thinks of you as 1 thing

Remember, you're a Goddess

When you grow, creating life, but you're way too young, and everyone forgets that it takes 2,

Remember, you're a Goddess

When you are called names just for voicing your opinion,

Remember, you're a Goddess

And no one can take that away from you.
