The Gods / Abu Karim

Churning the seas, gods have found nectar;

for that they possess unchanged youth.

Buddha also searched way out from diseases.

Man’s salvation is possible through dissolution.

Throughout his life we find essence of perseverance.

If life were stagnant in youth, how could we find

the placid appearance of old age in the whirl of youth?

The tumult of youthful joy has some significance too,

but that cannot be sought in anything at all.

If death never followed, life would become worthless.

Some are bent headed under pressure of diseases.

Birth of babies contain satisfaction. They come down

to the harsh dust of the earth through the vulva

of their mothers. The satisfaction that the mothers

can have taking the babies to bosom and feeding

them breasts is out of reach for all gods.
