The Gods Among Me

The Yule log burns embers deep and bright

in the dark and dense woods.

The wind flies high in the sky

the birds follow its path.

The thunder roars in the sky

and the fire only grows brighter.

The lightning strikes, the trees fall

and the fire only grows brighter.

I sit and watch this event unfold

I hear the whispers of the Gods.

Gods who call to me

Gods who help me

Loki, Thor, Odin, Freya

Holdr, Baldur, Sif, Sigyn

The Gods are among me

And I among them

They inspire me to grow, to learn

But most importantly

The Gods are me and I am them.
