The Gods are the ones

The Gods are the ones who watch

The ones who care, 

The ones who punish the foul and provide for the good. 

So in a modern sense,

They would be seen differently. 

They would be educators, teachers, and mentors. 

They would be the coaches who helped their players through a hard game. 

They would be the counselor who helped the kids get ahead. 

They would be the teachers who made sure the kids understood. 

They would be the friends who make life worth living. 

All are essential, but not all would be liked, 

Because they are more than meets the eye. 

They would also be the kids who have cheated, 

The ones who have left someone behind

The ones who let people down. 

Because people would expect too much of them, 

They would also be a dissappointment. 

There is always two sides to every story, to every person. 

And our job, is to figure out how to make both better. 

The Gods have both sides
