God's Candles

The morning glows in brightness and song;
with my wife Linda, I face this evil world.
She is virtue; She is integrity!
The evil of the world cannot overcome
the brightness and song of God’s  Candles!

Today is Maundy Thursday.
We celebrate with Jesus in brightness and song,
His time with us on earth.
We know He will leave us for three days,
and when He returns, He will bring
the brightness and song of God’s Candles. . .
and place them in all our hearts. . . forever!

I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love. I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
