Gods Cracks

The lord will provide you with plenty of cracks. Fill them all you want. They keep coming back.

Vain peacocks staring in a puddle. The sun shines down and clears up the muddle.

Give in  and give it up. The story is corrupt.

You can not see who you aren’t meant to be.

Every scar you bury comes with a cost. Hide too many we all end up lost.

You talk of faith ,,,yeah what’s the cost ..

Do you know the cost?

Do you know the cost?

The world now promises to disguise who you are. Get you some attention at the neighborhood dive bar.

Do you know the cost?

What have we lost?

People selling the best version of theirselves . Where does the old you go? Back on the shelf.

Take it to try  at your local dive bar. Did you get noticed. Are you now a star.

A newly minted penny ,shiny and bright. Do those cracks show in the new found light?

I'm proud of this short but to me very powerful and concise poem that uses great imagery , symbolism and metaphors ...

9.4% compared to HD Giovanni

A 58 year old white man being compared to someone with her style .

That is a great digital compliment .
