God's Forced Retreat

Walking down the street,

I see faces down turned, hiding from the rain.

Inside the building, the people look up

Into the light,

Bursting with joy.

The streets become more and more crowded,

As people seem to look for the darkness and hide from

The light.

But why hide from the light?

The light is love, it is warmth, it is a warm embrace.

Walking down the street,

I see faces down turned, hiding from the rain.

When they glance up, their looks are

Cold.
