Going Back to Cali

If California were a color, she would be as blue as the ocean she rests against.

Her rigid coast works its way up North.

A giant basketball, bouncing against the ocean waves.

The taste of a charred steak still sits upon my taste buds,

And a sweet Coke gently washes it down.

She grabs a pair of shorts, keeping cool while the rest of the nation bundles up.

She’s a giant playground, where I spend my weekends running

Pickup games with my friends.

It’s always sunny in California.

She cruises down the road in a brand new Mustang convertible

With the wind in her face,

And “California Love” playing in the background.

California is my home, and I dream of the day I will see her again.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I am rather mild-mannered, but when I am playing sports I am pretty competitive. Movies are a great pastime that I enjoy, and just about any movie is fine with me. I also love the outdoors.
