How complicated we are;

never wanting to lose our luster,

just to be malleable in the most devious of ways.

How selfish we are;

not being able to burn to ashes,

yet reflecting the color of fiery sunsets.

I'm Faizah, and it appears that I run on gasoline and song lyrics. Poetry appeals to me because of how simple yet complicated it is at the same time. I'm a nyctophile, alternative lover, hijabi, and I also have an affinity for chocolate ice cream. Oh Wonder and The Neighbourhood make me feel nostalgic. Halsey is the queen of the hfk, and Lana Del Rey and Panic! At The Disco make me feel like an old soul. I'd love to converse with you if given the chance.
