Gold Digger

So you think that you have found mrs.right. With her bouncy locks. Shiny hair as black as the night time sky. Skin as soft as silk yet the same color as your favorite caramel. And eyes the same color as your favorite candy, Midnight Snickers. Well boy I am telling you to beware for this girl that stands before you is more beast than beauty. She will snatch up each and everything that you love and leave you on the floor soiled and crying with nothing more than well wishes and candied dreams.

Your Ms.Perfect, her heart, or what she would have you to believe is her heart, is secretly nothing more than painted stone for long ago when she had her heart crumbled by another she had ripped it from her chest sworn to never truly love again. It would be wise to never plan with Mrs.Future, for she will serenade you with the sweet thoughts of happily ever after, but in actuality she is plotting her next happy never after. Desception, Perfection, two wonderful traits that she had quite grown fond of turning her lovers into haters and her haters into lusters. She was not just a member of the "Lonely Hearts Club", but she was the inventor of it.

Whenever she was around cupid would always seem to have a knack for instead of using one of his love arrows he would sprinkle a bit of lust into the air bringing two hearts that other wise should have never met one another to start off with a hello, but end with bittersweet tears. The problem was not that she was insecure or enjoyed breaking hearts, that was not the case at all. See for the ones who she did cherish would all agree and say how she was indeed a very sweet and caring person, but she just had a few faults, as we all do. For we humans are born with flaws. To her she would not care for as long as her eye brows were perfectly alined, her dress showed off each and every curve, and she had her tell tale scent of rose petals, than all was right with her world.

Homewrecker. Whore. Gold Digger. Realist. Call her what you will, but she is the hidden monster that is inside all of us.

I'm just a town small girl from with nothing but big dreams and a giant heart. Poetry is my life and being a poet is more than just about writing or expressing my feelings it's more about translating a story. Stay beautifully strong, angels <3
