Golden Angel

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders It’s weighin’ me down, down, down And it’s drown-drownin’ me I can’t get it off This weight is killin’ me And I look up And I see a golden hand Reachin’ for me He pulls me up And with his eyes he tells me “Everything will be ok” Yeah, everything will be ok My own golden angel Spread you wings and take me away To the place that’s just you and me It’s a place where I don’t have to worry About the outside world It’s a place where all my fantasies come true It’s a place that’s filled with nothing but you My own personal paradise My own golden angel When I close my eyes You’re the only thing I see When I go to sleep at night You’re the only thing I dream I can’t get you out of my mind And I don’t know what to do You’re like poison in my veins And there’s no cure for you My own golden angel Spread you wings and take me away To the place that’s just you and me It’s a place where I don’t have to worry About the outside world It’s a place where all my fantasies come true It’s a place that’s filled with nothing but you My own personal paradise My own golden angel I have another bad day And I’m down in the dumps The whole world is hurting me Hating me The world is crashing down And it’s all my fault I’m ready to let it take me under I’m ready to let it end But then I remember one thing I remember you And I remember how to sing My own golden angel Spread you wings and take me away To the place that’s just you and me It’s a place where I don’t have to worry About the outside world It’s a place where all my fantasies come true It’s a place that’s filled with nothing but you My own personal paradise My own golden angel
