the golden hour

the golden hour

the golden hour

came to pass

as redwood branches

combed my hair

was it my limbs that moved

like autumn through the trees

or was the wind taking me there

all i knew about time and you

was finally both were on my side

the sound of the woods

not the coulds or the shoulds

would guide my path tonight
