A Golden Light

I thought my life was over.

Isolated from reality,

Gone with the wind.

Then there was you,

A golden light in the dark.

A passionate rose in a dead winter.

I presented you with the allusion of my true self,

Hiding who I once was,

In fear you would wander.

I was lost in your curiosity,

Digging for the truth,

You found me.

Naked in my personality.

Uncovered, and bare.

You stood with glistening eyes.

I let you go,

Like watching a lantern fly into the night,

Gone with the wind.

I sat alone,

With empty hands,

Full heart.

Because, I love you.

The darkness had clothed me once more.

Surrounded in despair,

Isolated from reality.

Convincing myself that my life was over.

The wind rushed back,

Carrying the golden light.

But, why?

“Because, I love you.”
