Golden Love

Burning.

Acheing.

A fire in your heart

that won't go out.

No matter your icy treatments,

your passion attempts,

the fire won't leave.

So it turns you golden.

From the inside out.

Your hair bursts to flames,

cheeks erupt in volcanic explosions,

your entire being

reduced to ash.

You are a walking

ember,

close to re-ignition.

Your boiling point?

Love.

The reason you are golden.

Hate turns you black,

loss, blue.

But love,

it gives you false hope.

So that ember continues

to burn.

Untill there is nothing left.

But ash.
