Goldi the Black Sheep

With locks of gold

And her sisters all old

She felt that she didn’t quite fit

Their hair was brown

It would cause her to frown

There, all alone she would sit

Never at ease

Her sisters would tease

Because her own clothes she would knit

Always too loose

She soon would refuse

The hand-me-downs she soon would quit

Picky and needy

They called her greedy

But Goldi knew that wasn’t it

She ran away

The woods she would stay

            Relying on cunning and wit

Then she found a home

Where grizzly bears roam

Cozy if she had to admit

All things in threes

But which one would please

            Baby Bear’s things would befit

The bears were not thrilled

For the bed that she filled

Is where baby once would sit

Woken up with a scare

To the sight of a bear

Looks like time for her to split
