Goldie Locks the Three Bears

Once upon a time this tale was told,

It might sound recent or it might sound old.

But pay attention because there's something you might miss...

Here's the story with a twist:

In a cabin made of trees

Lived a family of three.

Momma, Poppa, Baby Bear

All lived there without a care.

T'was an eventful afternoon.

The TV showed their neighbor in the news!

The bears left in a hurry and forgot their stews.

They left their house open- they'd be back soon.

What they did not know a guest was coming.

A curious girl with hair gold like honey.

She saw the door was left wide open.

She went in and took advantage of the moment.

She saw that there was stew served for three.

She ate it all because she was hungry.

She was so full she felt sleepy and tired;

A bed was all that she desired.

Into the bedroom is where she went.

The first bed she tried was so soft her body bent.

The second bed was so hard it hurt.

"The third bed is perfect!" Out loud she blurt.

The bears returned expecting the stew to be cold.

To their surprise they saw three empty bowls!

There was something different, too.

There was noise coming from the bedroom.

Poppa went first since he was the strongest.

He went in and made no noise for the longest.

Momma asked if he was okay.

No response... and she went in because she was brave.

Now there was just the Baby Bear

And he did nothing since he was scared.

He heard loud gasping noises from the room.

He hoped his parents would come out soon.

Twice he heard something big and heavy drop.

What he saw made his heart want to stop.

Out the room a girl came out.

"I'm Goldie," was all that came out of her mouth.

He was so scared he could not fight or flee.

The girl came up to him, locked his neck and he yelled, "I can't breathe!"

The girl added three more to her killing spree.

The neighbor was first and had been shown on TV.

Goldie locks her victims, you see.

She chokes them until they cannot breathe.

Did I mention the bears were brown?

I guess that turns the story around.

But all bear lives matter...

Actually all lives matter.

Whether brown, black, or white

Killing someone just isn't right.
