GOMBE STATE @24

I have danced for the year before When Gombe reached twenty-three But today I am singing for the day My hometown reached twenty-four Gombe, jewel in the Savannah Full of patriotic leaders Full of talented educationists And enriched in commercial boost The forehead of eastern States That smiles to the western States That makes northern and southern impressed The fast growing State in Nigeria The ladened State that shines In the northeast of Nigeria Like the star shines in the sky Like the river shines in the jungle Gombe, the home of peace Gombe, the home of unity Gombe, the home of pride Gombe, the home of respect Gombe, the State of beauty Gombe, the State of contentment Gombe, the State of charisma Gombe, the State of quality and quantity Gombe, the State that bleeds The drops of happiness in Nigeria Gombe, the State that sacrifices The bunch of agricultural products To the whole Nigeria Gombe that makes Nigeria to smile That it's name rises up and down That it's name flows from east to west That north and south sniff it's scent Gombe, the State that painted The whole Nigeria with it's colour
